
David Cruz

David J. Cruz is a Miami-based musician. He is a pianist, tenor, and composer. He has sung back-up vocals for several artists and participated in various musical events throughout South Florida. He currently serves as a music teacher at a high school where he directs the orchestra, chorus, modern band, and general music courses.
In addition to his responsibilities at the school he directs the adult choir at a local church and has held several leadership positions in the past including the district chair for the Miami-Dade Florida Orchestra Association and president of Dade County Music Educators Association Non-Profit. Mr. Cruz has presented at conferences in Texas, Illinois, and Florida, and most recently served as a panelist for the Florida Music Educators Association Pre-Conference discussion on diversity.
David is excited to return to his musical roots and focus on creating and making music. When David is not practicing or making music, he also enjoys cooking, traveling, biking, and reading. One of his goals is to one day step foot on all the continents.
